First‐trimester preexisting diabetes screening in Medicaid beneficiaries

open access: yesPregnancy, Volume 2, Issue 3, May 2026.
Abstract Introduction Patients with public insurance have higher rates of pregestational diabetes mellitus (DM) and are less likely to receive preconception care than those with private insurance. Management of preterm pre‐labor rupture of membranes between 24 and 34 weeks: A before‐and‐after study of the implementation and modifications of an outpatient management protocol

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 105, Issue 5, Page 896-903, May 2026.
In women with PPROM before 34 weeks, we compared outcomes before and after implementing an outpatient management protocol. Outpatient care was offered to one‐third of patients, did not affect latency or gestational age at delivery, and was associated with fewer early neonatal infections, supporting its safety in selected cases. Abstract Introduction In

Monochorionic twin pregnancies conceived through assisted reproduction: Maternal and perinatal clinical outcomes

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 105, Issue 5, Page 868-877, May 2026.
ART‐conceived monochorionic twin pregnancies are associated with a higher burden of maternal complications compared with spontaneous conception. While fetal and neonatal outcomes did not differ significantly between groups after adjustment for relevant confounders, ART‐conceived pregnancies showed higher point estimates for several adverse outcomes ...

Tau‐targeting active immunotherapy slows progression and reduces pathology in mouse models of tauopathy

open access: yesBrain Pathology, Volume 36, Issue 3, May 2026.
The efficacy of the novel anti‐tau active immunotherapy, p5555kb, was tested using two mouse models of tau pathology. p5555kb inoculation increased the survival rate and reduced tau pathology in tau‐overexpressing P301L mice and decreased tau seeding in the brains of C57BL/6 mice injected with human‐purified Alzheimer's disease tau.
