The author presents arguments for and against understanding Feynman diagrams as models, in light of recent characterizations of model-making by philosophers of science. Observing that physicists employ such diagrams both as a ``paper tool'' and a ``complex model'', he advances the view of Feynman diagrams as a device mediating between mathematics and ...

Feynman diagrams without feynman parameters
Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1978Dimensionally regularized Feynman diagrams are represented by means of products ofk-functions. The infinite part of these diagrams is found very easily, also if they are overlapping, and the separation of the several kinds of divergences comes out quite naturally. Ward identities are proven in a transparent way.

Formulae expressing the amplitude for a Feynman diagram consisting of a single internal loop withn sides andn external lines as a sum of its reduced diagrams are derived by applying restrictions imposed by the finite dimensionality of space-time on the unparametrized amplitude.

Xfey, a Feynman diagram editor
Computer Physics Communications, 1998A graphical program, suitable for Feynman diagram drawings, is presented. It is mouse driven and easy to use. It is intended for those physicists who think they spend too much time drawing Feynman diagrams and want a tool to speed up the process.

The Number of Feynman Diagrams
Physical Review, 1953The Feynman-Dyson formulation of a perturbation expansion for quantum field theory allows one to give a general combinatorial treatment to the Feynman diagrams involved. A very simple analysis for the total number of such diagrams, $T(n, \ensuremath{\epsilon}, \ensuremath{\rho})$, in quantum electrodynamics, leads to: $T(n, \ensuremath{\epsilon ...
