Survey on farm practices of small-scale vegetable farmers in the Southern Philippines

open access: yesAnnals of Tropical Research, 2017
This study aims to survey the farm practices of small scale vegetable farmers, evaluate gender roles in farming and assess the changes in farm income of farmers engaged in integrated crop management.

Heavy quarkonium fragmentation functions from a heavy quark pair. II. $P$ wave

open access: yes, 2014
Recently, a new perturbative QCD factorization formalism for heavy quarkonium production at a large transverse momentum was proposed. Phenomenological application of this new approach relies on our knowledge of a large number of universal fragmentation ...

A Library of Lick/IDS Indices for Binary Stellar Populations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Using EPS we present 13 refined Lick/IDS absorption-line indices for an extensive set of instantaneous-burst binary stellar populations (BSPs) at high resolution (0.3 \AA) of various age and metallicity (1-15Gyr, 0.004-0.03), and 38 indices at ...

Effect of fermented fish silage in diets for juvenile Piaractus brachypomus on growth performance, blood parameters and meat quality [PDF]

open access: yesActa Amazonica
Fermented fish silage (FFS) produced from processing waste of the main fishery species in the Amazon could serve as an alternative with a circular economy approach.

First global QCD analysis of charged hadron fragmentation functions and their uncertainties at next-to-next-to-leading order [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper, we present ${\tt SGK18}$ FFs, a first global QCD analysis of parton-to-{\it unidentified} charged hadrons fragmentation functions (FFs) at next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) accuracy in perturbative QCD.

BACH, a Bayesian Optimization Protocol for Accurate Coarse‐Grained Parameterization of Organic Liquids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a fully automated Bayesian optimization (BO) protocol for the parameterization of nonbonded interactions in coarse‐grain CG force fields (BACH). Using experimental thermophysical data, we apply the protocol to a broad range of liquids, spanning linear, branched, and unsaturated hydrocarbons, esters, triglycerides, and water.

Heavy quark fragmentation functions at next-to-leading perturbative QCD

open access: yes, 2016
It is well-known that the dominant mechanism to produce hadronic bound states with large transverse momentum is fragmentation. This mechanism is described by the fragmentation functions (FFs) which are the universal and process-independent functions ...
