Thin-walled structures, 2019
This paper focuses on the nonlinear dynamics near internal resonance of a truncated FGM conical shell. The FGM conical shell is subjected to the aerodynamic load and the in-plane excitation along the meridian direction.

This paper seeks to present issues relating to female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM) in a manner which is more socio-legal than is usual in this journal, partly because, while there is an important new statute, the Serious Crimes Act 2015, the accepted view of FGM across the world (e.g.

AbstractSimple sedimentation in organic solvents followed by hot-pressing is used to produce alumina-NiAI functionally graded materials (FGMs). Varying degrees of agglomeration influenced the phase arrangement in the mixed layer(s) producing microstructural variation. We discovered a pronounced structural dependence on NiAl stoichiometry.

FGM Research Activities in Europe
MRS Bulletin, 1995The application of functionally graded materials (FGM) principles is widespread in Europe, despite the lack of national or European programs coordinating the efforts of the individual institutions and researchers. In the following article, the status of research in Europe will be outlined by examples of research projects from various application fields.

An exact three dimensional solution for bending of thick rectangular FGM plate
Composites Part B: Engineering, 2019This study uses the displacement potential function, DPF, to present an exact solution for bending of functionally graded, FGM, thick plates. The plates are simply-supported rectangular, isotropic, and nonhomogeneous, with exponential variation of Young ...

Novel insulator with interfacial σ-FGM for DC compact gaseous insulated pipeline
IEEE transactions on dielectrics and electrical insulation, 2019Electric field optimization plays a significant role in the insulation design of gaseous insulated pipeline (GIL) for the DC power system. Functionally graded material (FGM) with spatial distribution of conductivity σ (σ-FGM) provides a potential method ...
