On estimation and influence diagnostics for a Bivariate Promotion Lifetime Model Based on the FGM Copula: A Fully Bayesian Computation

open access: yesTEMA (São Carlos), 2013
In this paper we propose a bivariate long-term model based on the Farlie-Gumbel-Morgenstern copula to model, where the marginals are assumed to be long-term promotion time structured. The proposed model allows for the presence of censored data and covariates.

Bivariate normal-geometric distribution with FGM copula: Properties and parameter estimation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics
It is of practical importance to construct new effective statistical model for discrete and continuous data arising in the real world. The bivariate distribution with FGM copula whose two marginal distributions are normal and geometric, respectively, is proposed.

Bivariate Morgenstern Sin-Generalized Exponential Distribution Applied to Multidiscipline Real Applications

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Theory and Applications (JSTA)
Recently, a trigonometric transformation of the distribution function has become an interesting way to provide versatility and adaptability in data modeling as the parameter oscillates with a change in its value, and the periodic function controls the ...

Reliability Equivalence Factors of a Parallel System Subject to Weibull Distribution Using Multivariate FGM Copula [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Applied Sciences, 2018
This paper analyze a parallel system consisted of n dependent components with lifetimes follow Weibull distribution. FGM Copula in multivariate case is used to generate the reliability function of the original system. Reduction method is introduced to improve system reliability. Other methods of hot, cold and warm duplication are established to improve

A stability property of Farlie-Gumbel-Morgenstern distributions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A copula is a function that completely describes the dependence structure between the marginal distributions. One of the most important parametric family of copulas is the Farlie-Gumbel-Morgenstern (FGM) family.
