Mental Health and Mattering in UK University Students: A Comparison Between Continuing-Generation Students and First-Generation Students [PDF]

open access: yesEducation Sciences
The prevalence of poor mental health in university students is extremely concerning, and first-generation students (FGSs) may be more vulnerable to mental health problems than continuing-generation students (CGSs).

Novel green soybean shuidouchi fermented by Bacillus velezensis with multibioactivities. [PDF]

open access: yesFood Sci Nutr, 2021
In the study, green soybeans were fermented by Bacillus velezensis to make a novel green soybean Shuidouchi with multi‐bioactivities. The fermented green soybean Shuidouchi (FGSS) showed 234.8 FU/g dry weight (DW) for the fibrinolytic activity and IC50 of 0.33 mg/ml for the anticoagulant activity.

Research progress on the fibrinolytic enzymes produced from traditional fermented foods. [PDF]

open access: yesFood Sci Nutr, 2023
This article focuses on fibrinolytic enzymes produced by microorganisms during the fermentation of traditional fermented foods. First, we provide an overview of the sources of fibrinolytic enzymes, including strains that produce such enzymes. Then, we discuss the optimization of fermentation process, purification, and physicochemical properties of ...
