The effect of disorder on the fracture nucleation process
The statistical properties of failure are studied in a fiber bundle model with thermal noise. We show that the macroscopic failure is produced by a thermal activation of microcracks.

The Diverse Neuromuscular Spectrum of VPS13A Disease
ABSTRACT Objective VPS13A disease (chorea‐acanthocytosis) is a rare neurodegenerative disorder caused by biallelic variants in VPS13A, typically presenting with hyperkinetic movement disorders, while neuromuscular signs are often mild. The aim of the project was to investigate the frequency and severity of neuromuscular impairment in VPS13A disease ...

Dynamic model of fiber bundles [PDF]
A realistic continuous-time dynamics for fiber bundles is introduced and studied both analytically and numerically. The equation of motion reproduces known stationary-state results in the deterministic limit while the system under non-vanishing stress always breaks down in the presence of noise.

INF2‐Related Charcot–Marie–Tooth Disease in a Japanese Cohort: Genetic and Clinical Insights
ABSTRACT Background INF2 mutations cause focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and Charcot–Marie–Tooth disease (CMT). Accurate genetic diagnosis is critical, as INF2‐related FSGS is typically resistant to immunotherapy yet rarely recurs after transplantation, and its associated neuropathy can mimic treatable immune‐mediated disorders such as ...

Theory Research of Curved Surface Reflection RIM-FOS under the Typical Optical Fiber Beam Structure
This paper has completed the theoretical modeling of the cured surface reflection RIM-FOS under the typical optical fiber bundle structure. Firstly, the modeling of the fiber’s axial symmetry distribution structure is made by analytical method to get the

The Whyburn construction and fiber bundles
Abstract Whyburn's unifying constructions is shown to be a function from one category of bundles over locally compact base spaces to another category of bundles over the same base spaces. This functor one-point compactifiles the fiber, commutes with the pullback functor and takes trivial bundles to trivial bundles.

SNUPN‐Related Muscular Dystrophy: Novel Phenotypic, Pathological and Functional Protein Insights
ABSTRACT Objective SNUPN‐related muscular dystrophy or LGMDR29 is a new entity that covers from a congenital or childhood onset pure muscular dystrophy to more complex phenotypes combining neurodevelopmental features, cataracts, or spinocerebellar ataxia. So far, 12 different variants have been described.

Diffusion Tractography Biomarker for Epilepsy Severity in Children With Drug‐Resistant Epilepsy
ABSTRACT Objective To develop a novel deep‐learning model of clinical DWI tractography that can accurately predict the general assessment of epilepsy severity (GASE) in pediatric drug‐resistant epilepsy (DRE) and test if it can screen diverse neurocognitive impairments identified through neuropsychological assessments.
