Touchless Mechanism to Detect Rhodamine B Concentration in Distilled Water Using Fiber Bundle

open access: yesInternational Journal of Optics, 2019
Detection of rhodamine B concentration in distilled water can be conducted without direct contact between the sensor probe and the sample using fiber bundle as a sensor probe and concave mirror as a sample container. The fiber bundle used is a concentric

Enabling Digital Continuity in Virtual Manufacturing for Eco‐Efficiency Assessment of Lightweight Structures by Means of a Domain‐Specific Structural Mechanics Language: Requirements, Idea and Proof of Concept

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents a solver‐agnostic domain‐specific language (DSL) for computational structural mechanics that strengthens interoperability in virtual product development. Using a hierarchical data model, the DSL enables seamless exchange between diverse simulation tools and numerical methods.

Influence of Twist on Selected Properties of Multifilament Yarn

open access: yesAUTEX Research Journal, 2018
Owing to twisting of filament fiber bundle, the structure and consequently various parameters and properties of a fiber bundle are changed. The aim of the work is to verify the effect of multifilament yarn twist (or twist coefficient) on selected ...

Experimental Analysis and Physics‐Based Analytical Model on Twisted and Coiled Artificial Muscles

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Twisted and coiled artificial muscles made from silver‐coated nylon fibers are investigated through experiments and analytical modeling. The actuators achieve contractions up to 19.3% and specific work of 8 kJ kg−1, though efficiency remains limited (≈0.15%) by thermal losses.

Investigation on Off-axis Tensile Mechanical Behaviors of 2D-C/SiC Composites

open access: yesCailiao gongcheng, 2017
The off-axis tensile mechanical behaviors of 2D-C/SiC composite laminates were obtained by tests under different off-axis angles, and the influence of off-axis angle on the tensile mechanical behaviors was studied.

No slices on the space of generalized connections

open access: yes, 1997
On a fiber bundle without structure group the action of the gauge group (the group of all fiber respecting diffeomorphisms) on the space of (generalized) connections is shown not to admit slices.Comment: AmSTeX, diag.tex, 7 ...
