Mechanistic insights from additive‐assisted plastic degradation guide the design of environmentally adaptive textile fibers. Functional additives enhance oxidative, hydrolytic, enzymatic, and microbial degradation pathways. Translating these strategies requires control of fiber architecture, additive distribution, and environmental interactions ...

Fiber association and network formation in PLA/lignocellulosic fiber composites. [PDF]
PLA composites were prepared in an internal mixer with a lignocellulosic fiber having relatively large aspect ratio. Fiber content changed between 0 and 60 vol% and the homogenized material was compression molded to 1 mm thick plates.

Application of Electro-Technologies in Processing of Flax Fiber [PDF]
Flax fibers used for various applications are obtained from flax stems. Retting followed by drying and mechanical separation leads to the production of fibers. This review article discusses the application of electro-technologies in the production of bast fibers from the flax stem.

Intrusive growth of sclerenchyma fibers
Intrusive growth is a type of cell elongation when the rate of its longitudinal growth is higher than that of surrounding cells; therefore, these cells intrude between the neighboring cells penetrating the middle lamella.

Study of Varietal Differences in the Composition of Heteropolysaccharides of Oil Flax and Fiber Flax
Flaxseed mucilage and its derivatives have been extensively investigated over the last decade, mainly due to their inherent techno-functional (thickening, gelling, interface-stabilizing, and film-forming) properties that are relevant in the food industry.
