Shaping Matter with Acoustic Waves: From Particles to Functional Structures
Acoustic‐directed assembly is reviewed as a materials‐oriented strategy for organizing particles, polymers, metals, and biological systems into functional structures. The review distinguishes reversible manipulation from permanent structure formation through medium fixation, particle fixation, and in situ material generation, highlighting routes toward

Specific Gravity and Fiber Length Variation in a European Black Alder Provenance Study
Specific gravity and fiber length variation among 13 provenances of Alnus glutinosa were studied. Based on mean provenance values, specific gravity varied from 0.37 to 0.42, and fiber length varied from 0.68 mm to 1.01 mm. Single-tree maximum values were

All‐solution‐processed, low‐cost extended short‐wavelength infrared photodetectors are realized by coupling colloidal HgTe quantum dots to plasmonic In2O3:Sn,F nanocrystals. Localized surface plasmon resonances boost and spectrally tailor light absorption between 1500 and 3000 nm, enabling responsivities above 40 A W−1.

Fiber Length in Normal and Foxtail Pinus Caribaea Mor.
Carribbean pine often develops a foxtail form when planted in tropical and subtropical locations. The normal procedure in many plantations is to destroy these trees, partly because it is thought they are of low wood quality.

Radiation‐induced hypothyroidism follows head and neck radiotherapy due to oxidative stress and inflammation. Electrospun polycaprolactone scaffolds containing adenosine have potential to modulate thyroid repair. Scaffolds enhance thyrocyte proliferation, antioxidant enzymes glutathione peroxidase and catalase, reduce senescence and apoptosis markers ...
