Quantum key distribution over 122 km of standard telecom fiber
We report the first demonstration of quantum key distribution over a standard telecom fiber exceeding 100 km in length. Through careful optimisation of the interferometer and single photon detector, we achieve a quantum bit error ratio of 8.9% for a ...

A filtration model for prediction of local flux distribution and optimization of submerged hollow fiber membrane module [PDF]
© 2015 American Institute of Chemical Engineers. A filtration mathematical model was developed on the basis of complete mass balance and momentum balance for the local flux distribution prediction and optimization of submerged hollow fiber membrane ...

DISTRIBUTION OF FIBER LENGTH OF KOZO
We treated the distributions of fiber length on the stand point of inductive statistics, and found to resemble the normal frequency distribution. We calculated the rejection limit under definite level of significance, and far we considered the difference between each samples.

Natural fibers are not as rigid as glass or carbon fibers. During composites extrusion and injection molding, they tend to bend and twist in the polymeric matrix, thus resulting in fiber waviness and decreased mechanical properties of natural fiber ...

Adjustment of Cotton Fiber Length by the Statistical Normal Distribution: Application to Binary Blends [PDF]
In this study the normality of the cotton fiber length number distribution and weight distribution are tested by using the Chi-2 statistic test. Good correlations between the cotton fiber length distribution by weight and the normal distribution with the

Quantum entanglement distribution with 810 nm photons through telecom fibers
We demonstrate the distribution of polarization entangled photons of wavelength 810 nm through standard telecom fibers. This technique allows quantum communication protocols to be performed over established fiber infrastructure, and makes use of the ...

The Influence of Beating of Pulp on Fiber Length and Fiber Length Distribution [PDF]
1. Introduction Recent studies and researchers assume that certain relationships exist between different properties of pulp - such as between bulk, tearing resistance, bursting strength, tensile strength, freeness, and fiber length index.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.
