Flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy [PDF]

open access: bronzeThe Indian Journal of Pediatrics, 1987
Although the availability of flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy (FFB) has been a major advance in adult pulmonary medicine, the role of FFB in pediatric patients is not well defined. In this article, we try to review our 10-year experience in over 4,000 cases where FFB has been utilised.

Comparison of remifentanil and esketamine in combination with propofol for patient sedation during fiberoptic bronchoscopy [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Pulmonary Medicine, 2023
Background Ideal sedation and analgesia strategies for fiberoptic bronchoscopy have not been found. At present, propofol based sedation strategy still has some defects, such as respiratory depression and blood pressure drop.

Jet Ventilation for Fiberoptic Bronchoscopy [PDF]

open access: bronzeAnesthesiology, 2001
ACUTE pulmonary or lobar collapse is a troublesome complication after thoracic surgery and may mandate aggressive intervention. Therapeutic fiberoptic bronchoscopy is a standard intervention for the treatment of atelectasis in the intensive care setting.

Porcine antibody profiles of 33 Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae fusion proteins from M. hyopneumoniae natural infection but not vaccination

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 9, Issue 1, Page 203-216, January 2023., 2023
Thirty‐three M. hyopneumoniae fusion proteins were expressed in soluble form. Twenty‐one immunodominant proteins were identified, and six discriminating ones reacted with convalescent but not hyperimmune sera were confirmed. The result provides candidate antigens for the exploration of protective antigens.

Weakly Supervised Airway Orifice Segmentation in Video Bronchoscopy [PDF]

open access: yesSPIE Medical Imaging 2023: Image Processing, 2022
Video bronchoscopy is routinely conducted for biopsies of lung tissue suspected for cancer, monitoring of COPD patients and clarification of acute respiratory problems at intensive care units. The navigation within complex bronchial trees is particularly challenging and physically demanding, requiring long-term experiences of physicians.

One‐lung ventilation in obese patients undergoing thoracoscopic lobectomy for lung cancer

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 281-288, January 2023., 2023
What is the best strategy to obtain one‐lung ventilation (OLV) in obese patients scheduled for thoracoscopic lung resections? Double lumen tubes (DLTs), (i.e., Carlens tube, Robertshaw tube etc…) or single‐lumen tube (SLT) with bronchial blockers (i.e., Univent, EZ blockers etc…)?Obese group compared to the control group was associated with: (i) higher
