Structure–Function Decoupling of the Sensorimotor and Default Mode Networks in Black Americans With MS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Multiple sclerosis (MS) exhibits racially disparate rates of disease progression. Black people with MS (B‐PwMS) experience a more severe disease course than non‐Hispanic White people with MS (NHW‐PwMS). Here we investigated structural and functional connectivity as well as structure–function decoupling in the ...

Determination Methods of Food Fibers Characteristics in Milk Mixtures with the Modified Fat Composition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The article presents main determination methods of technological parameters of food fibers in milk mixtures of the modified fat composition. The methods of studying the ability of food fibers to water and fat-absorption are offered.

Holomorphic fiber bundles with hyperbolic fiber [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1974
The purpose of the present note is to show that holomorphic fiber bundles with hyperbolic fiber are almost trivial: They are trivial if the base is simply connected, and have a simple structure otherwise.

Evidence of Iron Accumulation in Cerebral Adrenoleukodystrophy: A Potential Novel Disease Mechanism

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this first application of Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping Source Separation to cerebral adrenoleukodystrophy, we uncovered alterations in iron and myelin within lesions and normal appearing white matter. As validation, we demonstrate abnormal iron accumulation in those same compartments within primary brain tissue.

Transgenic Approaches to Develop Abiotic Stress Tolerant Crop Plants: Rice as the Model Example

open access: yesInternational Journal of Bio-Resource and Stress Management, 2010
Abiotic stress is a major limiting factor for crop productivity. The nature and extent of abiotic stress on crop plants are rapidly increasing with destabilization of environmental balance and deterioration of soil productivity.

Normal‐Appearing White Matter Injury Mediates Chronic Deep Venous Hypoxia and Disease Progression in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To explore how cerebral hypoxia and Normal‐Appearing White Matter (NAWM) integrity affect MS lesion burden and clinical course. Methods Seventy‐nine MS patients, including 13 clinically isolated syndrome (CIS) patients and 66 relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) patients, and 44 healthy controls (HCs) were recruited from ...

Cracking the Code: Genotype–Phenotype Correlation Models in Sarcoglycanopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Sarcoglycanopathies are among the most severe limb‐girdle muscular dystrophies (LGMD), though milder presentations have been described. These diseases are primarily caused by missense variants, but the limited predictability of their effect on protein maturation, complex formation, and transport has hindered reliable genotype ...

Preparation of ultramarine green pigments by recycling of the discarded molecular sieves for green vegetation spectral simulation

open access: yesScientific Reports
Molecular sieves were widely used in the chemical industry, which caused a large number of inactivated molecular sieves to be discarded, resulting in a serious waste of resources and environmental pollution.

IV Thrombolysis Facilitates Interventional Reperfusion in Non‐Cardioembolic but Not Cardioembolic Stroke

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) before thrombectomy for ischemic stroke may alter clot structure and procedural performance. We investigated how IVT relates to thrombectomy metrics across stroke etiologies. Methods We performed a time‐to‐event analysis of consecutive patients with anterior circulation large vessel occlusion (acLVO ...
