Classifying pro-fibrations and shape fibrations
We first describe some categories. Let TOP denote the category whose objects are topological spaces and whose morphisms are continuous maps. Let \(TOP^ N\) denote the category whose objects are the inverse systems in TOP indexed by the set of natural numbers \({\mathbb{N}}\) (with continuous bonding maps).

Radiation‐induced hypothyroidism follows head and neck radiotherapy due to oxidative stress and inflammation. Electrospun polycaprolactone scaffolds containing adenosine have potential to modulate thyroid repair. Scaffolds enhance thyrocyte proliferation, antioxidant enzymes glutathione peroxidase and catalase, reduce senescence and apoptosis markers ...

Piecewise linear fibrations [PDF]
A PL \((=\) piecewise linear) fibration is a Hurewicz fibration p: \(E\to B\) such that E, B are compact polyhedra and p is a PL map. Very important examples are PL manifold bundles (i.e. PL locally trivial bundles whose fibers are compact PL manifolds with boundary). The present paper establishes a PL link between the category of PL fibrations and the

3D Printing Strategies for Bioengineering Human Cornea
This review highlights recent progress in 3D bioprinting strategies for engineering human corneas. Key aspects include the replication of corneal transparency, curvature, and biomechanical properties, alongside innovations in recent advancements in 3D printing methods, which benefit in overcoming current challenges.

Extending fibrations on knot complements to ribbon disk complements
We show that if $K$ is a fibered ribbon knot in $S^3=\partial B^4$ bounding ribbon disk $D$, then with a transversality condition the fibration on $S^3\setminus\nu(K)$ extends to a fibration of $B^4\setminus\nu(D)$.

Commercial vascular grafts are made from ePTFE, a highly hydrophobic, foreign material that fails at a high rate in small‐diameter applications. Plasma polymer nanoparticles (PPN) are a versatile material functionalisation tool, used here to present fibrillin‐1 fragment PF8 on the graft surface.

A bioassembly approach is described using photo‐crosslinked gelatin‐based microgels containing calcium peroxide (CaO2) to generate oxygen (O2) and enhance cell survival in hypoxic conditions (1% O2). Bioassembly enables spatial patterning of individual CaO2‐laden and mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)‐laden microgels and allows for decoupling and mitigating ...

Rank jumps and multisections of elliptic fibrations on K3 surfaces
We consider the countably many families $\mathcal {L}_d$ , $d\in \mathbb {N}_{\geq 2}$ , of K3 surfaces admitting an elliptic fibration with positive Mordell–Weil rank. We prove that the elliptic fibrations on the very general member of these
