Shape Memory Polymer‐Based Flexible Pressure Sensor for Real‐Time Venous Thrombosis Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A shape‐memory tubular flexible pressure sensor with a 100‐mesh microstructured SMP‐PLA/MWCNTs sensing layer was developed for PICC‐mounted monitoring of thrombosis‐related pressure changes. The sensor combines high sensitivity (204 kPa−1), a fast response time (28 ms), and conformal catheter fixation and was validated by hydrostatic and ex vivo ...

Aggregation‐Controlled Vat Dyeing of Meta‐Aramid Fibers: Mechanistic Insights and Suppression of Surface Dye Deposition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Supramolecular aggregation governs the interfacial adsorption, diffusion, and fixation of anthraquinone‐based vat dyes in meta‐aramid fibers. By correlating reduction chemistry, aggregate formation, and fiber microstructure, a multiscale mechanism for aggregation‐controlled dyeing is established, providing an effective strategy to suppress surface dye ...

Covalent Attachment of Quaternary Ammonium Group to Geopolymer Surface With Silane Coupling Agent to Enable Simultaneous Adsorption of Cations and Anions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Modification of geopolymer surface with a silane coupling agent containing quaternary ammonium group enables the development of dual‐functioning ion exchanger for both cations and anions. In the present study, the performance of this material was demonstrated for the uptake of ammonium and nitrate from water.

Morphological Characterization of Spherulites in Silk‐Polycaprolactone Mixtures: Implications for Textured Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Blending silk fibroin with polycaprolactone alters crystalline organization and surface morphology. Low fibroin levels promote ring‐banded spherulites, while higher contents generate porous, pit‐like textures, though overall crystallinity remains unchanged. Solvent evaporation further modulates surface patterns.
