Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma Arising in Fibroadenoma and Associated Proliferative Mammary Disease in a 38 Years Old Female -A Rare Case Report [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University, 2017
Infiltrating ductal carcinoma arising in a fibroadenoma is a rare incidental finding. Incidence is 0.002-0.0125%. Women having proliferative disease without atypia have a twofold elevation in their risk for subsequent invasive breast cancer.

Cell Mechanics in Cancer: Integrating Mechanotransduction Pathways Within the Tumor Microenvironment

open access: yesJournal of Cellular Physiology, Volume 241, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Single‐cell mechanical properties such as stiffness, elasticity, and viscosity, are crucial in governing biological processes like migration, proliferation, and differentiation. In cancer, the mechanical properties of cells undergo significant alterations, which contribute to tumor growth, metastasis, and resistance to therapy.

Fibroadenoma Juvenil Gigante da Mama: Caso Clínico

open access: yes, 2016

T2$$ {\boldsymbol{T}}_{\mathbf{2}} $$‐Weighted Imaging of Water, Fat and Silicone

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 5, Page 2765-2775, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a sensitive method for assessing silicone implant integrity, with T2$$ {T}_2 $$‐weighted imaging being essential for detecting abnormalities in surrounding tissue. Silicone breast imaging protocols often require multiple tailored sequences for species suppression and diagnostic contrast. We propose a

Interpretable CRAM‑Enhanced Lightweight Dual‑Branch CNN for Real‑Time Breast Cancer Histopathology in Internet‑of‑Medical‑Things Environments

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 26, 8 May 2026.
This study presents an interpretable, lightweight hybrid deep learning model for real‐time analysis of breast cancer histopathology in IoMT‐enabled diagnostic systems. By integrating MobileNetV2 and EfficientNet‐B0 with a novel contextual recurrent attention module (CRAM), the framework achieves near‐perfect accuracy while providing transparent Grad ...

Giant juvenile fibroadenoma [PDF]

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Surgery, 2015
Juvenile fibroadenoma is a common cause of breast masses seen in adolescents and young women. Giant juvenile fibroadenomas are usually single and unilateral. The etiology is thought to be due to increased levels of estrogen during adolescence, although it is not yet fully understood.

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 4, Page 877-893, April 2026.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.
