Pencabutan gigi merupakan tindakan terbanyak kedua untuk mengatasi permasalahan gigi dan mulut. Terdapat empat tahap dalam proses penyembuhan luka yaitu hemostasis, inflamasi, proliferasi, dan remodeling. Studi menunjukkan bahwa bahan alam memiliki kandungan yang membantu mempercepat penyembuhan luka.
