A review of the literature reveals cumulative recurrence rate of 18.3% for the ameloblastic fibroma. We interpret this to indicate a significant problem with present treatment modalities. Our preference is toward modified block resection rather than simple excision or curettage. Three cases of ameloblastic fibroma are presented, one of which is most

This study defines the current modes of treatment of patients with uterine fibromas with a review of the literature. Progesterone treatments appear to be principally used in cases of minor functional symptomatology and we discuss recent studies of mifepristone. GnRH agonists are particularly effective in preoperative treatment for conservative surgery.

Chondromyxoid fibroma is a rare benign tumor derived from cartilage. The classic site of involvement is usually the metaphyseal ends of the long tubular bones, such as the tibia. The majority of these tumors are seen in the lower extremities during the second and third decades of life.

Little has appeared in the literature on tumors of the scrotum proper, owing to the fact that they are very uncommon. Many authors who have reported on tumors of the scrotum have included tumors of the testicle proper, the testicular tunics and the epididymis and neoplasms originating from the spermatic cord.

Cardiac fibroma is a rare benign nonencapsulated neoplasm of the heart. It occurs mainly in infants and children. It may grow to a large size, which results in a variety of clinical cardiac presentations, including sudden death. Surgical excision prevents recurrence.

Tenosynovial fibroma or angiofibroma of tendon sheath is a distinctive clinicopathological entity occurring mainly in young and middle-aged men and affecting dominantly the distal extremities. Fingers, hands and wrists are the site of 80 per cent of cases. Palmar aspects of hands and plantar aspects of foot are preferentially involved.
