Fibrous dysplasia of the clivus
Surgical Neurology, 1993The case of a 37-year-old man with monostotic fibrous dysplasia of the clivus is reported. This study includes clinical presentation, radiologic appearance, surgical findings, and pathology of this lesion. The significance of magnetic resonance imaging and management of this uncommon clival lesion are discussed.

1. Monostotic fibrous dysplasia in the long bones occurs most frequently in adolescence. In the jaws it is found mainly in early adult life. It presents later in the ribs, probably because it is often asymptomatic in this site. 2. The disease is equally distributed in both sexes. 3. Reactivation may occasionally occur in later life and in pregnancy.

An aggressive fibrous dysplasia
Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1974Abstract A case of aggressive fibrous dysplasia is presented. The lesion progressed rapidly after the initial investigative biopsy and became quiescent only after three successive surgical shaves. Pathologic specimens continually supported the diagnosis of monostotic fibrous dysplasia.
