Dr. W. Mnaymneh A 54-year-old woman was brought to the emergency ward of the Massachusetts General Hospital 15 minutes after having been struck by an automobile. She had sustained an injury confined to the right lower extremity and had not lost consciousness. Her general health was good. She had had a hysterectomy at the age of 28 for reasons unknown.
