The Reflectance Field Map: Mapping Glass and Specular Surfaces in Dynamic Environments
IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2023We present the Reflectance Field Map, a reliable real-time method for detecting shiny surfaces, like glass, metal, and mirrors, with lidar. The Reflectance Field Map combines the theory developed for Light Field Mapping, common in computer graphics, with

Cell Localization and Counting Using Direction Field Map
IEEE journal of biomedical and health informatics, 2021Automatic cell counting in pathology images is challenging due to blurred boundaries, low-contrast, and overlapping between cells. In this paper, we train a convolutional neural network (CNN) to predict a two-dimensional direction field map and then use ...

Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, 1988
AbstractHomogeneous radiofrequency magnetic fields are necessary for production of high‐quality magnetic images and for most forms of magnetic resonance spectroscopy. It is often convenient to map the radiofrequency homogeneity associated with a resonant device by measuring the magnetic image intensity of an aqueous phantom placed within the resonator.

Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology, 1978
A method for plotting isopotential maps of EEG fields is described. Forty-eight EEG channels are recorded, computer-processed, and used to plot a chart of the potential distribution every msec. This technique shows the usual characteristics of the EEG, and also some parameters that are normally hidden, such as the shape, surface and slope of the waves.
