Tracking Human Gestures under Field-of-View Constraints

Proceedings of the Fourth International Conference on Human Agent Interaction, 2016
This paper presents a control design for a desktop telepresence robot that guarantees satisfaction of field-of-view (FOV) constraints when dynamically tracking multiple points of interest on a person. The multi-point tracking problem is solved by complementing centroid tracking with local constraint satisfaction that is achieved by local integral ...

Shortest Paths for a Robot With Nonholonomic and Field-of-View Constraints

IEEE Transactions on Robotics, 2010
This paper presents a complete characterization of shortest paths to a goal position for a robot with unicycle kinematics and an on-board camera with limited field-of-view (FOV), which must keep a given feature in sight. Previous work on this subject has shown that the search for a shortest path can be limited to simple families of trajectories.

Feedback control for spacecraft proximity operations under field-of-view constraint

2020 IEEE 16th International Conference on Control & Automation (ICCA), 2020
The six degrees of freedom (6DOF) control problem for spacecraft proximity operations is addressed in this work. During the docking process, the field-of-view constraint of the chaser is required to be satisfied, and both the position and attitude of chaser are required to track with the target simultaneously.

Cooperative guidance law for missiles with field-of-view constraint

2016 35th Chinese Control Conference (CCC), 2016
A cooperative attack problem with field-of-view constraint is considered for the nonlinear model of the missile. First, an impact control guidance law is derived based on circular guidance law. The controller is then modified to meet the field-of-view constraint.

Three-dimensional impact angle control guidance with field-of-view constraint

Aerospace Science and Technology, 2020
Abstract Traditional analytical impact angle control guidance laws with field-of-view (FOV) constraint were studied in two-dimensional cases. This paper deals with this problem in a three-dimensional engagement scenario by proposing a new nonlinear non-switching guidance strategy for attacking a stationary ground target. The nonlinear relation of the
