Impact time control guidance law with field of view constraint

Aerospace Science and Technology, 2014
Abstract The problem of Impact Time Control Guidance (ITCG) with field-of-view (FOV) constraint is investigated. The proposed ITCG law is a combination of the well-known Proportional Navigation Guidance (PNG) law and an additional biased term of impact time error, which is defined as the difference between the impact time by PNG and the prescribed ...

Reactive Vision Based Obstacle Avoidance with Camera Field of View Constraints

AIAA Guidance, Navigation and Control Conference and Exhibit, 2008
The lack of reliable, low power, low weight sensors make automatic obstacle avoidance for fixed wing micro air vehicles (MAV) a difficult problem. Traditional sensors for obstacle detection such as radar are too heavy and too large for MAVs and generating paths around detected obstacles is non-trivial. EO/IRCameras are small and lightweight providing a

Automatic Field of View Control of Laparoscopes with Soft RCM Constraints

2018 13th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation (WCICA), 2018
In this paper, a novel method is proposed to implement automatic field of view control of laparoscopes. The laparoscope is visually controlled to follow moving surgical tools under remote center of motion (RCM) constraints introduced by minimally invasive surgery (MIS). A vision-based tracking algorithm is designed for view plane and view depth control.

Three-Dimensional Nonsingular Cooperative Guidance Law with Different Field-of-View Constraints

Journal of Guidance, Control, and Dynamics, 2021
In this paper, a distributed three-dimensional (3D) nonsingular cooperative guidance law is designed for multiple missiles with different seeker’s field-of-view (FOV) constraints to achieve salvo a...

Prescribed performance image based visual servoing under field of view constraints

2014 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems, 2014
In this paper, we propose a novel image based visual servoing scheme that imposes prescribed transient and steady state response on the image feature coordinate errors and satisfies the visibility constraints that inherently arise owing to the limited field of view (FOV) of cameras.

Optimal Trajectory Shaping Guidance Law with Seeker’s Field-of-View Constraint

2020
This chapter proposes a new trajectory shaping guidance law for impact time control and impact angle control with seeker’s field-of-view (FOV) limit. The proposed guidance law is derived by using the concept of biased PNG (BPNG). The guidance law developed leverages a nonlinear function to ensure the boundedness of velocity lead angle to cater for ...

Field-of-view limited guidance with impact angle constraint and feasibility analysis

Aerospace Science and Technology, 2021
Abstract A look angle shaping guidance law with impact angle and seeker's field-of-view (FOV) constraints considering the time-varying speed is proposed. A look angle profile with respect to the relative range is first constructed as a cubic polynomial.

On time-optimal trajectories for differential drive vehicles with field-of-view constraints

53rd IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2014
This paper presents the first step toward the study of minimum time trajectories for a differential drive robot, which is equipped with a fixed and limited Field-Of-View (FOV) camera, towards a desired configuration while keeping a given landmark in sight during maneuvers.

Field-of-view constraints on actively controlled long-baseline stellar interferometry

Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1980
The field-of-view limitations to actively controlled long-baseline interferometry are investigated. Without resorting to any specific atmospheric model, it is shown that the deleterious effects of nonisoplanatism do not grow with further baseline separation (higher spatial frequency sampled).
