Surface Incompressibility from Semiclassical Relativistic Mean Field Calculations [PDF]
By using the scaling method and the Thomas-Fermi and Extended Thomas-Fermi approaches to Relativistic Mean Field Theory the surface contribution to the leptodermous expansion of the finite nuclei incompressibility has been self-consistently computed. The

Maximum Allowable Annular Surface Pressure (MAASP) Standards Calculations Study; a Field Case Study
Well integrity failures may arise during the production phase of a well in a field. Those failures could create a Sustained Casing Pressure (SCP), a pressure that is measurable at the wellhead that can not be bled-off. SCP must be addressed carefully to

Nuclear ground-state properties from mean-field calculations [PDF]
The volume and surface effects in the nuclear local energy density and the volume and surface components of the pairing interaction are discussed in the context of the mean-field, Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov description of atomic nuclei.

Isovector proton-neutron pairing and Wigner energy in Hartree-Fock mean field calculations [PDF]
We propose a new approach for the treatment of isovector pairing in self-consistent mean field calculations which conserves exactly the isospin and the particle number in the pairing channel.

Aperture field reconstruction by calculated cylindrical near field [PDF]
AbstractA method for determining the aperture field distribution of an array antenna from near‐field measurement over the surface of a right circular cylinder enclosing the antenna is applied here. The approach relies on the concept of information content of the field.

Lattice effective field theory calculations for A = 3,4,6,12 nuclei [PDF]
We present lattice results for the ground state energies of tritium, helium-3, helium-4, lithium-6, and carbon-12 nuclei. Our analysis includes isospin-breaking, Coulomb effects, and interactions up to next-to-next-to-leading order in chiral effective ...

Numerical dosimetric calculations for in vitro field expositions in the THz frequency range [PDF]
Field exposition experiments have been initiated by the German Federal Office for Radiation Protection (Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz – BfS) to examine genotoxic effects of THz radiation in vitro.

We present a fast calculation of the electromagnetic field near the focus of an objective with a high numerical aperture (NA). Instead of direct integration, the vectorial Debye diffraction integral is evaluated with the fast Fourier transform for calculating the electromagnetic field in the entire focal region.

One-loop background calculations in the general field theory [PDF]
We present master formulas for the divergent part of the one-loop effective action for a minimal operator of any order in the 4-dimensional curved space and for an arbitrary nonminimal operator in the flat space.Comment: 30 pages, RevTex, Figures are ...

Method for electric field and potential calculations in Hall plates [PDF]
Electrostatic field problems occurring in Hall plates are difficult to solve, mainly because of a non-standard boundary condition defining an oblique angle of the electric field w.r.t. an isolating boundary.
