Harnessing machine learning and optimization for informed chemical engineering decisions: A styrene reactor analysis

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
This study shows that integrating multiple machine learning models with optimization and decision‐making improves chemical process design, and that a consensus‐based strategy across models provides more robust and reliable operating recommendations than any single model, especially under limited or noisy data conditions.

The Influence of Drosophila Spire and Myosin V During Mid‐Oogenesis Is Independent of Their Direct Interaction

open access: yesCytoskeleton, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cooperativity between cytoskeletal proteins is crucial for spatiotemporal coordination in biological processes, like oogenesis. In mammalian and Drosophila oogenesis, proper assembly and function of actin networks require coordination between actin assembly factors Spire and formins, as well as actin‐associated proteins like myosins and Rab ...

Beyond Reputation: A Function for CSR in the Age of Systemic Crises. Evidence From the Italian Business Landscape

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Corporate Sustainability (CS) are historically distinct constructs that have converged to the point of conceptual confusion. This paper operates within the CSR tradition, arguing that authentic CS is structurally impossible without the ethical foundation CSR provides.

A shining starlet: Nematostella vectensis as a model for developmental, regenerative, and comparative biology

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract The sea anemone, Nematostella vectensis, has been used as a model organism in developmental biology studies for many years. This estuarine species has the notable capacity to regenerate its full body plan from small pieces throughout life. Nematostella have been described as having a great degree of cellular plasticity.
