The Role of Relative Humidity in Estimating Cloud Condensation Nuclei Number Concentration Through Aerosol Optical Data: Mechanisms and Parameterization Strategies

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
The number concentration of cloud condensation nuclei (NCCN) is vital for quantifying aerosol‐cloud interactions. Estimating NCCN using aerosol optical properties is essential for obtaining continuous NCCN data.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Self-Adaptive Testing in the Field

open access: yesACM Transactions on Autonomous and Adaptive Systems
We are increasingly surrounded by systems connecting us with the digital world and facilitating our life by supporting our work, leisure, activities at home, health, and so on. These systems are pressed by two forces. On the one side, they operate in environments that are increasingly challenging due to uncertainty and uncontrollability.
