Uniform fields vs. fibrewise uniform spaces: An adjoint situation

Acta Mathematica Hungarica, 2014
An adjoint functor is established between the category of Hausdorff uniform fields, as preconized by Dauns and Hofmann, and the category of Hausdorff fibrewise uniform spaces, as conceived by I. M. James, Y. Konami and T. Miwa.

Drip Irrigation Field Uniformity Estimation

Transactions of the ASAE, 1983
ABSTRACT THE coefficient of variation was used to assess the magnitude of emitter flow variation in drip irrigation submain units. Based upon the assumption that emitter flow variation is normally distributed, a simplified statistical method for estimating the coefficient of variation was developed. The estimate of the coefficient of variation was used

Uniform Field Solenoid Optimization Study

IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity, 2012
A numerical study was performed on homogeneous field synthesis problem. The influence of geometrical constraints on the important characteristics of uniform field solenoids was studied. These characteristics are: complexity of the shape of current distribution, peak field strength in windings, and relative cost of the solenoid.

Microwave Oven Field Uniformity Analysis

2005 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2005
The uniformity of the averaged field inside a microwave oven has been investigated using both the theoretical and experimental methods though the performance of the current oven is still not ideal. In this paper, the field uniformity issue is studied by computer simulation, where a dyadic Green's function is employed.

Gamma Camera Field Uniformity Correction

The British Journal of Radiology, 1975
The recent letter by Hannan and Bessent (1974) conflicts with results obtained in Aberdeen. We have a Nuclear Enterprises Mark III camera (updated Mark IV standard), and a new Mark V. Both of these can be connected to a Nuclear Data 50/50 display unit, which is on-line to a PDP-8/I computer.
