Maximal regular boundary value problems in Banach-valued weighted space [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This study focuses on nonlocal boundary value problems for elliptic ordinary and partial differential-operator equations of arbitrary order, defined in Banach-valued function spaces. The region considered here has a varying bound and depends on a certain

Approach to a Fifth-Order Boundary Value Problem, via Sperner's Lemma

open access: yesApplied Mathematics, 2011
We consider the five-point boundary value problem for a fifth-order differential equation, where the nonlinearity is superlinear at both the origin and +infinity. Our method of proof combines the Kneser’s theorem with the well-known from combinatorial topology Sperner’s lemma.

Advanced Design for Weakly Coupled Resonators by Automatic Active Optimization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
An Automatic Active Optimization (AAO) strategy integrates machine learning predictors and genetic algorithms in a closed‐loop workflow. By iteratively expanding its dataset with new discoveries, AAO overcomes the limits of conventional methods. This approach finds superior microstructural designs beyond the initial sample space. We demonstrate this on

Eigenvalues of higher order Sturm-Liouville boundary value problems with derivatives in nonlinear terms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We shall consider the Sturm-Liouville boundary value problem y(m)(t)+λF(t,y(t),y′(t),…,y(q)(t))=0, t∈(0,1), y(k)(0)=0, 0≤k≤m−3, ζy(m−2)(0)−θy(m−1)(0)=0, ρy(m−2)(1)+δy(m−1)(1)=0 where m≥3, 1≤q≤m−2, and λ>0.
