Factors influencing mercury evaporation rate from dental amalgam fillings
European Journal of Oral Sciences, 1992Factors influencing mercury evaporation from dental amalgam fillings were studied in 11 volunteers. Air was drawn from the oral cavity for 1 min and continuously analyzed with a mercury detector. In six volunteers the median unstimulated evaporation rate was 0.1 ng Hg/s, range 0.09–1.3 ng Hg/s.

Operation of krypton-filled flashlamps at high repetition rates
Applied Optics, 1983A technique for operating krypton-filled flashlamps at high repetition rates and with high efficiency in Q-switched lasers is described. The technique uses high simmer currents to remove the timing and amplitude jitter that occurs at high repetition rates when krypton-filled lamps are run with conventional, low simmer currents. Besides giving excellent

2D and 3D shape retrieval using skeleton filling rate
Multimedia Tools and Applications, 2016As an increasing number of digital images are generated, a demand for an efficient and effective image retrieval mechanisms grows. In this work, we present a new skeleton-based algorithm for 2D and 3D shape retrieval. The algorithm starts by drawing circles (spheres for 3D) of increasing radius around skeletons.

IRFCF: Iterative Rating Filling Collaborative Filtering Algorithm
2006The aim of collaborative filtering is to make predictions for active user by utilizing the rating information of likeminded users in a historical database. But previous methods suffered from problems: sparsity, scalability, rating bias etc. To alleviate those problems, this paper presents a novel approach—Iterative Rating Filling Collaborative ...

Optimizing TSV Fill Phases for Improved Fill Rate, Process Stability and Void Performance
ECS Transactions, 2015This paper will explore the differences between the theoretical optimal electrochemical polarization conditions within the via during the key phases of gap filling (e.g. nucleation, conformal filling, and the transition to bottom-up filling), and compare to the actual conditions of conventional processing.

Maximum Ratings for Xenon Filled Linear Flashlamps
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1967An approximate mathematical analysis of wall loading and energy dissipation is presented in lieu of comprehensive (and expensive) destructive testing, with the aim of extending previously published maximum peak current ratings for a given lamp type to flashtubes having various length/diam ratios and operating in multisection LC discharge lines (pulse ...

Multiplet Auger transition rate for partially filled shells
Physical Review A, 1975A previous derivation of the generalized Auger transition for inner-shell multiplets is shown to be incorrect. The previous derivation was based on deducing a coupling scheme from 6-j symbols in the transition-rate expression, then transforming the coupling coefficients.
