The formation mechanism of geological disasters on loess fill slopes revealed by the deformation characteristics of remolded loess under different stress paths

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
In recent years, geological disasters on loess fill slopes have occurred from time to time, which has attracted widespread attention. In order to deeply understand its deformation and failure laws and promote the disaster prevention and mitigation work ...

Delayed instabilities of water-retaining earth structures

open access: yesFrontiers in Built Environment, 2022
Aging earth fill dams that were constructed in the mid-1950’s are beginning to show signs of instability associated with time-dependent degradation of shear strength.

Hydrological and failure process of loess-bedrock fill slopes under continuous heavy rainfall

open access: yesJournal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering
During extensive gully land consolidation projects on China's Loess Plateau, many loess-bedrock fill slopes were formed, which frequently experience shallow landslides induced by rainfall.

Application research of a prestressed anchor cable‐pile‐slab wall supporting structure for multistage high fill slopes

open access: yesEngineering Reports, 2020
When carrying out engineering constructions in a mountainous area with complex geological conditions, high fill slopes commonly need to be strengthened. At present, several of the main supporting structures have unique defects and shortcomings when used ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Stability Analysis and Application of Two-Stage Support on The High Fill Slope

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2019
This paper relies on the two-stage slope project, which is in Sanmenxia. The first grade slope is reinforced by soil nailing, multi-row piles and buttress retaining wall support scheme are adopted for the second stage subsequent fill slope, finite ...

Discovery and Targeted Proteomic Studies Reveal Striatal Markers Validated for Huntington's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Clinical trials for Huntington's disease (HD) enrolling persons before clinical motor diagnosis (CMD) lack validated biomarkers. This study aimed to conduct an unbiased discovery analysis and a targeted examination of proteomic biomarkers scrutinized by clinical validation. Methods Cerebrospinal fluid was obtained from PREDICT‐HD and
