All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Pentagonal 2D Altermagnets: Material Screening and Altermagnetic Tunneling Junction Device Application

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
From a database of 170 pentagonal 2D materials, 4 candidates exhibiting altermagnetic ordering are screened. Furthermore, the spin‐splitting and unconventional boundary states in the pentagonal 2D altermagnetic monolayer MnS2 are investigated. A MnS2‐based altermagnetic tunneling junction is designed and, through ab initio quantum transport simulations,

Experimental Analysis of Rainfall-Induced Instability and Failure Patterns in Loess Fill Slopes

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering
Due to the complex terrain and topographical constraints of the Loess Plateau, flat land suitable for engineering construction is extremely limited. To address this issue, filling gullies and leveling land has become a common solution, resulting in the ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

Decoupling Size and Electronic Effects in Doped SrTiO3 Photocatalysts Through Surface Area–Normalized CO2 Hydrogenation Rates

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Exploring the photocatalytic reverse water–gas shift (RWGS) reaction on doped SrTiO3 nanoparticle films, reveals that normalizing catalytic rates by the catalyst's specific surface area (SSA) disentangled surface area effects from the catalyst's intrinsic material properties.

Experimental Study on Back Fill Material of a High Fill Slope

open access: yes
AbstractAiming at the problem of high fill slope engineering in China’s airports, a high fill slope project of a new airport was selected as the research object. Through on-site engineering investigation, it was found that the backfill material was mainly moderately weathered stone, with high strength and not easy to break, accompanied by silty clay ...
