Structurally Colored Radiative Cooling Cellulosic Films
AbstractDaytime radiative cooling (DRC) materials offer a sustainable approach to thermal management by exploiting net positive heat transfer to deep space. While such materials typically have a white or mirror‐like appearance to maximize solar reflection, extending the palette of available colors is required to promote their real‐world utilization ...

Cooling Characteristics of Film-Cooled Turbine Blades [PDF]
A series of experiments was performed to measure the cooling effectiveness of pin-fin type blades applicable to the first-stage blades of the high pressure turbine for the Advanced Gas Turbine of Japan (AGTJ-100A). Actual pin-fin type blades were used in three-dimensional hot cascade tests.

Numerical Study on Film-Cooling Effectiveness for Various Film-Cooling Hole Schemes
Film-cooling has been widely used as the important alternative to protect the turbine blade. Since the film-cooling hole geometry is one of the most influential parameters for film-cooling performance, various film-cooling hole schemes have been developed to increase cooling performance for the past few decades.

A Comparative Study of Film Cooling with Combined Impingement and Film Cooling
In order to cool the gas turbine vane or blade and raise the operating temperature, two standard convective cooling methods are used: jet impingement cooling and film cooling. The current study uses computational analysis to analyze and compare film cooling effectiveness with and without multi-jet impingement cooling on a flat plate.

Occurrence of Hysteresis like behavior of resistance of $Sb_2 Te_3$ film in heating-cooling cycle
Experimental observations of a peculiar behavior observed on heating and cooling ${\rm Sb_2Te_3}$ films at different heating and cooling rate are detailed. The film regained its original resistance, forming a closed loop, on the completion of the heating-

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Curved film cooling admission tube [PDF]
Effective film cooling to protect a wall surface from a hot fluid which impinges on or flows along the surface is provided. A film of cooling fluid having increased area is provided by changing the direction of a stream of cooling fluid through an angle ...

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These
