Thickness Distribution in Thin Film

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1977
Abstract A thickness distribution function is used to describe the non-uniformity of thickness in thin films. A method to determine the thickness distribution function is proposed and applied to r.f. diode-sputtered ultrathin films of platinum deposited onto liquid-nitrogen-cooled quartz substrates.

Shot scale distribution in art films

Multimedia Tools and Applications, 2016
The scale of shot, i.e. the apparent distance of the camera from the main subject of a scene, is one of the main stylistic and narrative functions of audiovisual products, conveying meaning and inducing the viewer's emotional state. The statistical distribution of different shot scales in a film may be an important identifier of an individual film, an ...

Determination of distributions in inhomogeneous films

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 1973
Abstract The distribution of material in an inhomogeneous film is an important parameter in many problems. By representing the inhomogeneous film as a stack of thin homogeneous films, we have developed a method for utilizing concomitant ellipsometric and attenuated total reflection measurements to determine the distribution of films whose thickness ...

On the distributional regularity of shot lengths in film

Digital Scholarship in the Humanities, 2013
Redfern [([2012][1]), The lognormal distribution is not an appropriate parametric model for shot length distributions of Hollywood films. Literary and Linguistic Computing , doi:10.1093/llc/fqs066] disputes the idea that the lognormal distribution is a suitable parametric model for the shot length distribution of films.

Formal Film Distribution

2015
Film distribution has recently migrated to the forefront of academic enquiry as the traditional modes and mechanisms of movie dissemination are allegedly being ‘disrupted’ by technological developments from the VCR to video on demand. The challenges and possibilities brought about by new forms of formal online distribution are considered in detail in ...

Surfactant Distribution in Latex Films

2010
Colloidal polymer particles are made by techniques of emulsion polymerisation, as described in Chapter 1. To emulsify the monomer phase in conventional emulsion polymerisation, and to create micelles that serve as seed particles, one or more surfactants are used. Surfactants are amphiphilic molecules that have a hydrophilic head group and a hydrophobic

Online film distribution (Movierium)

2021
This dissertation focuses on improving the connection between a filmmaker and the audience. It provides more accessibility and availability to streaming movies for audiences, not in the country or state of a cinema release. A filmmaker should reach a wider audience than those just in the released environs, by developing and designing a pay-per-view ...
