The suitability of diazochrome KBL film for UV dosimetry

Physics in Medicine and Biology, 1984
A promising material for use in a UV film badge dosemeter is diazo film. The optical density of this substance changes on exposure to ultraviolet radiation. The present paper reports some of the relevant factors in the processing of the film and also on its spectral sensitivity.

A prototype, glassless densitometer traceable to primary optical standards for quantitative radiochromic film dosimetry.

Medical Physics (Lancaster), 2015
PURPOSE To evaluate a prototype densitometer traceable to primary optical standards and compare its performance to an EPSON Expression(®) 10000XL flatbed scanner (the Epson) for quantitative radiochromic film (RCF) dosimetry.

Subwavelength films for standoff radiation dosimetry

SPIE Proceedings, 2015
We present optical subwavelength nanostructure architecture suitable for standoff radiation dosimetry with remote optical readout in the visible or infrared spectral regions. To achieve this, films of subwavelength structures are fabricated over several square inches via the creation of a 2D non-close packed (NCP) array template of radiationsensitive ...

Radiochromic film dosimetry for clinical proton beams

Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 1997
Depth doses and lateral profiles for proton beams with energies of 100-250 MeV were measured with a high-sensitivity GafChromic MD-55 film, which requires no post-irradiation development. The exposed MD-55 films were evaluated with the RIT 113 film dosimetry system.

Radiochromic film dosimetry: Past, present, and future

Physica Medica, 2011
In radiation therapy, an accurate dose determination and a precise dose delivery to the tumour are directly associated with better treatment outcomes in terms of higher tumour control and lower post radiation therapy complications. Over the years, film dosimetry was developed into a powerful tool for radiotherapy treatment verification and quality ...
