Electroluminescent devices based on polymeric thin films [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
This thesis is concerned with the preparation of organic light-emitting diodes (LEDs) by using different thin film technologies: the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique; spin-coating and thermal evaporation.

Structural properties and surface wettability of Cu-containing diamond-like carbon films prepared by a hybrid linear ion beam deposition technique

open access: yes, 2015
Cu-containing diamond-like carbon (Cu-DLC) films were deposited on Si/glass substrate by a hybrid ion beam deposition system. The Cu concentration (0.1-39.7 at.%) in the film was controlled by varying the sputtering current.

Composition‐Tuned Enhancement of the Anomalous Nernst Effect in FeCo–Pt Thin Films on Rigid and Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

Reading Maps [Motion Picture Film]

open access: yes, 1955
Reading Maps is one of several educational films Clarence W. Sorensen made for Encyclopaedia Britannica Films. This film describes the tools for effectively reading a map by outlining the definitions and applications for a map’s scale, direction sign ...

Deposition and characterisation of sputtered Nickel manganate thin films [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
This work investigates the structural and electrical properties of both bulk and r magnetron sputtered thin films of spinel structured Ni(_x)Mn(_3-x)0(_4=8) material system. The distribution of the LDOS of the thin films is also studied using STS.

Field Report from Collaborative Research Center 1625: Heterogeneous Research Data Management Using Ontology Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial

Art competitions as a tool for the promotion of INFODORADCA+ project [PDF]

open access: yesEdukacja Ustawiczna Dorosłych, 2019
The close relationship between visual arts and work issues has a long tradition in the world. At the beginning of the 20th century, first mass-produced photos were used in the fight for rights of people working in American factories. Nowadays, visual art

A study of electrostatically sprayed CuInS2 and ZnS thin films [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The investigation of ternary compounds for the fabrication of thin film solar cells is well documented but the production of thin films by electrostatic spray deposition (ESD) is still limited.

Towards Defect Phase Diagrams: From Research Data Management to Automated Workflows

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A research data management infrastructure is presented for the systematic integration of heterogeneous experimental and simulation data required for defect phase diagrams. The approach combines openBIS with a companion application for large‐object storage, automated metadata extraction, provenance tracking and federated data access, thereby supporting ...

Solid‐State Diffusion and Intermetallic Phase Formation in Roll‐Bonded Mg–Zn Composites With Kirigami‐Patterned Inlay

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mg–Zn composites with a thickness of 0.21 mm were fabricated using roll bonding of a kirigami‐patterned Mg alloy inlay within a Zn matrix. Thermal activation following this process led to the formation of tailored intermetallic structures, which provided the composite with enhanced flexural strength.
