Frequency reconfigurable dual-band filtenna
AEU - International Journal of Electronics and Communications, 2020Abstract In this paper, a compact size frequency reconfigurable dual-band filtenna (Filter +Antenna) is proposed for WLAN, WiMaX and C-band applications. The filtenna is designed by a switchable SRR (i.e. Two switches are used in inner and outer split rings) band pass filter (BPF) and a CSRR based antenna.

Filtennas with Frequency- and Time-Domain Selectivity Properties
2021 International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications (ICEAA), 2021The term filtenna [1] refers to a class of microwave components that, being able to perform both filtering and radiation operations, have been widely investigated for reducing the cost and space occupancy of a microwave system. In most cases, filtennas are designed by inserting a filtering element with a frequency-dependent behavior in the structure of

A Varactor-Based Reconfigurable Filtenna
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2012This letter details a new reconfiguration technique for implementing frequency-tunable bandpass filters. This is achieved by changing the filter total capacitance via an integrated varactor within its structure. The reconfigurable bandpass filter is then incorporated within the feeding line of a printed antenna to form one structure.

Electronically reconfigurable filtenna for cognitive radios
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2016ABSTRACTA frequency tunable and bandwidth reconfigurable antenna with ring slot resonators embedded into its ground plane is presented. To achieve the bandwidth reconfigurability, two PIN diodes are inserted to couple or decouple two pairs of ring slot resonators from the antenna feed line.

A Compact Filtenna for C-band applications
2022 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting (AP-S/URSI), 2022This paper presents a low profile filtenna designed for C-band applications. The proposed device exploits a rectangular patch antenna with parasites and directly connected to a compact filter, realized etching out properly designed spirals from the patch feeding line.

Compact Wideband Gain-Agile Receiving Filtenna
2019 Cross Strait Quad-Regional Radio Science and Wireless Technology Conference (CSQRWC), 2019A compact wideband gain-agile receiving filtenna is presented. The receiving filtenna is a co-design, which is organically combined by a compact passive filtenna and a variable gain amplifier (VGA) circuit. In the design, the active feeding network consists of one VGA circuit and two feeding strips connected by a metal post. Its gain-agile is empowered

OLR-filtenna for Wi-Fi applications
2016 Progress in Electromagnetic Research Symposium (PIERS), 2016Microstrip open loop resonators with annular or square configuration are widely used in the design of filters and antennas. In this paper a new compact microstrip OLR based filters are designed and analyzed. This filter configuration is extended to work as a filter antenna.

A compact microstrip ultra-wideband filtenna
2014 15th International Conference on Electronic Packaging Technology, 2014In this paper, a compact ultra-wideband antenna with filtering functions is presented. It has a compact size of 32mm∗26mm∗0.8mm. The filtenna is fabricated on a common and low-cost FR4 substrate, with a relative dielectric constant of 4.4, and a loss tangent of 0.02.

A new compact stripline patch filtenna module
Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications, 2016AbstractIn this paper, a new compact stripline patch filtenna module (SLPFM) has been proposed, designed, and fully investigated using the well-known electromagnetic simulator (CST_MW simulator). The objective is to design and fabricate a movable and compact microstrip patch chip (MS-Chip) mounted on a microstrip motherboard (MS-motherboard).

Overlay cognitive radio using MIMO reconfigurable filtenna
2016 International Conference on Wireless Communications, Signal Processing and Networking (WiSPNET), 2016Overlay cognitive radio is described in this paper. Channel activity is endlessly guide by the Wide band sensing antenna and a reconfigurable filtenna need to change the performing frequency. MIMO antenna system is considered to reduce multipath fading and to improve channel capacity.
