SIW Resonator-Based Duplex Filtenna
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2021In this communication, a low-profile single-layered duplex-filtenna scheme is proposed by using two feeds and a common substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity. A rectangular slot is carved on the top of the cavity along the narrower side of the SIW, which splits the cavity into two unequal parts.

A Varactor-Based Reconfigurable Filtenna
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2012This letter details a new reconfiguration technique for implementing frequency-tunable bandpass filters. This is achieved by changing the filter total capacitance via an integrated varactor within its structure. The reconfigurable bandpass filter is then incorporated within the feeding line of a printed antenna to form one structure.

A Compact Filtenna for C-band applications
2022 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting (AP-S/URSI), 2022This paper presents a low profile filtenna designed for C-band applications. The proposed device exploits a rectangular patch antenna with parasites and directly connected to a compact filter, realized etching out properly designed spirals from the patch feeding line.

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2016ABSTRACTA frequency tunable and bandwidth reconfigurable antenna with ring slot resonators embedded into its ground plane is presented. To achieve the bandwidth reconfigurability, two PIN diodes are inserted to couple or decouple two pairs of ring slot resonators from the antenna feed line.

A compact microstrip ultra-wideband filtenna
2014 15th International Conference on Electronic Packaging Technology, 2014In this paper, a compact ultra-wideband antenna with filtering functions is presented. It has a compact size of 32mm∗26mm∗0.8mm. The filtenna is fabricated on a common and low-cost FR4 substrate, with a relative dielectric constant of 4.4, and a loss tangent of 0.02.

2016 Progress in Electromagnetic Research Symposium (PIERS), 2016Microstrip open loop resonators with annular or square configuration are widely used in the design of filters and antennas. In this paper a new compact microstrip OLR based filters are designed and analyzed. This filter configuration is extended to work as a filter antenna.
