Novel filtenna for wireless applications
Materials Today: Proceedings, 2021Abstract A triple-band antenna integrated with three band-pass filters for 1.6 Gigahertz, 2.4 Gigahertz and 5.2 Gigahertz is presented. The Filtering antenna structure consists of three coupled line band-pass filters and a planar tri-band antenna with the partial ground of 9 mm × 25 mm.

Filtennas with Frequency- and Time-Domain Selectivity Properties
2021 International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications (ICEAA), 2021The term filtenna [1] refers to a class of microwave components that, being able to perform both filtering and radiation operations, have been widely investigated for reducing the cost and space occupancy of a microwave system. In most cases, filtennas are designed by inserting a filtering element with a frequency-dependent behavior in the structure of

Design of Compact Filtennas with Enhanced Bandwidth
2018 IEEE International Conference on Signal Processing, Communications and Computing (ICSPCC), 2018Two compact, wideband filtennas are simulated and then measured. For the purpose of extending impedance bandwidth, the designs are introduced by organically uniting a monopole with a band-pass filter, and then regulating their mutual coupling. This method is adopted by incorporating filtering elements into antennas with near-field resonant parasitic ...

A Varactor-Based Reconfigurable Filtenna
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2012This letter details a new reconfiguration technique for implementing frequency-tunable bandpass filters. This is achieved by changing the filter total capacitance via an integrated varactor within its structure. The reconfigurable bandpass filter is then incorporated within the feeding line of a printed antenna to form one structure.

A Compact Filtenna for C-band applications
2022 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting (AP-S/URSI), 2022This paper presents a low profile filtenna designed for C-band applications. The proposed device exploits a rectangular patch antenna with parasites and directly connected to a compact filter, realized etching out properly designed spirals from the patch feeding line.

SIW Resonator-Based Duplex Filtenna
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2021In this communication, a low-profile single-layered duplex-filtenna scheme is proposed by using two feeds and a common substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity. A rectangular slot is carved on the top of the cavity along the narrower side of the SIW, which splits the cavity into two unequal parts.
