Managing Temporal Dynamics of Filter Bubbles [PDF]
Filter bubbles have attracted much attention in recent years in terms of their impact on society. Whereas it is commonly agreed that filter bubbles should be managed, the question is still how. We draw a picture of filter bubbles as dynamic, slowly changing constructs that underlie temporal dynamics and that are constantly influenced by both machine ...

Use of a porous membrane for gas bubble removal in microfluidic channels: physical mechanisms and design criteria [PDF]
We demonstrate and explain a simple and efficient way to remove gas bubbles from liquid-filled microchannels, by integrating a hydrophobic porous membrane on top of the microchannel.

This work discusses the use of blended channel materials in OECTs. It explores how mixing glycolated and alkoxylated polymers in various ratios offers a simpler and more efficient route to tuning OECT properties. The performance of the polymer blends is compared to the corresponding copolymers, demonstrating similar OECT characteristics, swelling ...

Infiltration through porous media
We study the kinetics of infiltration in which contaminant particles, which are suspended in a flowing carrier fluid, penetrate a porous medium. The progress of the ``invader'' particles is impeded by their trapping on active ``defender'' sites which are
