Current Tracking Adaptive Control of Brushless DC Motors
In this paper, the current tracking for Brushless Direct Current motors is approached considering uncertainty in the parameters of the motor's model. An adaptive control scheme to compensate electrical parameters uncertainty is proposed without requiring any knowledge of the mechanical parameters.

MICRO BUBBLE FORMATION AND BUBBLE DISSOLUTION IN DOMESTIC WET CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEMS [PDF]
16 % of the carbon dioxide emissions in the UK are known to originate from wet domestic central heating systems. Contemporary systems make use of very efficient boilers known as condensing boilers that could result in efficiencies in the 90-100% range ...

Managing Temporal Dynamics of Filter Bubbles [PDF]
Filter bubbles have attracted much attention in recent years in terms of their impact on society. Whereas it is commonly agreed that filter bubbles should be managed, the question is still how. We draw a picture of filter bubbles as dynamic, slowly changing constructs that underlie temporal dynamics and that are constantly influenced by both machine ...

A Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller
Block Diagram of the Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller. ABSTRACT This article introduces a discrete‐time robust adaptive one‐sample‐ahead preview super‐twisting sliding mode controller. A stability analysis of the controller by Lyapunov criteria is developed to demonstrate its robustness in handling both ...

This article demonstrates the successful qualification of a copper–tungsten composite for laser powder bed fusion. The resulting components exhibited high density, high thermal conductivity, and reduced thermal expansion. Heat sinks with complex geometries were successfully manufactured, clearly showcasing the material's potential for additive ...

Constraining Quasar and IGM Properties Through Bubble Detection in Redshifted 21-cm Maps
The infrared detection of a z>7 quasar has opened up a new window to directly probe the IGM during the epoch of reionization. In this paper we theoretically consider the possibility of detecting the ionized bubble around a z=8 quasar using targeted ...

Fast Large Volume Simulations of the 21 cm Signal from the Reionization and pre-Reionization Epochs [PDF]
While limited to low spatial resolution, the next generation low-frequency radio interferometers that target 21 cm observations during the era of reionization and prior will have instantaneous fields-of-view that are many tens of square degrees on the ...
