A new filter QP-free method for the nonlinear inequality constrained optimization problem

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2018
In this paper, a filter QP-free infeasible method with nonmonotone line search is proposed for minimizing a smooth optimization problem with smooth inequality constraints.

Convergence theorems for the Non-Local Means filter

open access: yesInverse Problems & Imaging, 2018
In this paper, we establish convergence theorems for the Non-Local Means Filter in removing the additive Gaussian noise. We employ the techniques of "Oracle" estimation to determine the order of the widths of the similarity patches and search windows in the aforementioned filter.

Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Multiple Iteration of Weight Updates for Least Mean Square Adaptive Filter in Active Noise Control Application

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
The method of least mean square (LMS) is the commonly used algorithm in Adaptive filter due to its simplicity and robustness in implementation. In Active Noise Control application, a filtered reference signal is used prior to LMS algorithm to overcome ...

Pentagonal 2D Altermagnets: Material Screening and Altermagnetic Tunneling Junction Device Application

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
From a database of 170 pentagonal 2D materials, 4 candidates exhibiting altermagnetic ordering are screened. Furthermore, the spin‐splitting and unconventional boundary states in the pentagonal 2D altermagnetic monolayer MnS2 are investigated. A MnS2‐based altermagnetic tunneling junction is designed and, through ab initio quantum transport simulations,

Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

Analyzing the Unscented Kalman Filter Robustness for Orbit Determination through Global Positioning System Signals

open access: yesJournal of Aerospace Technology and Management, 2013
http://dx.doi.org/10.5028/jatm.v5i4.252 The nonlinear unscented Kalman filter (UKF) is evaluated for the satellite orbit determination problem, using Global Positioning System (GPS) measurements. The assessment is based on the robustness of the filter.

A uniformly convergent adaptive particle filter [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Probability, 2005
Particle filters are Monte Carlo methods that aim to approximate the optimal filter of a partially observed Markov chain. In this paper, we study the case in which the transition kernel of the Markov chain depends on unknown parameters: we construct a particle filter for the simultaneous estimation of the parameter and the partially observed Markov ...

Fast‐Responding O2 Gas Sensor Based on Luminescent Europium Metal‐Organic Frameworks (MOF‐76)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Luminescent MOF‐76 materials based on Eu(III) and mixed Eu(III)/Y(III) show rapid and reversible changes in emission intensity in response to O2 with very short response times. The effect is based on triplet quenching of the linker ligands that act as photosensitizers. Average emission lifetimes of a few milliseconds turn out to be mostly unaffected by
