A Fast Bloom Filters Method in APN Filtering

2008 IEEE Pacific-Asia Workshop on Computational Intelligence and Industrial Application, 2008
APN (access point name) is a valuable parameter for charge in the third generation (3G) communication. So the APN filtering check GTP protocol messages to determine if a roaming subscriber is allowed to access a specified external network which is an important function in 3G security device.

The Multidimensional Filter Diagonalization Method

Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2000
The theory of the multidimensional filter diagonalization method (FDM) described in the previous paper (V. A. Mandelshtam, 2000, J. Magn. Reson. 144, 343-356 (2000)) is applied to NMR time signals with up to four independent time variables. Direct projections of the multidimensional time signals produce new kinds of 2D spectra.

The Filterization Method to Calculate Eigenstates

International Journal of Modern Physics B, 1997
We have proposed a new method to calculate low lying eigenstates of Hamiltonian operator for triatomic molecules. The method is a grid method based on continuously pumping flux onto the potential energy surface and gives the wave function overlapping with prechosen energy of interest.

A Method for Filtering Respiratory Oscillations

Journal of Theoretical Biology, 1994
We present a method based on dynamical systems theory which can be used to filter time series in a way which is superior to classical Fourier decomposition. This method is applied to three data-sets, taken from respiratory measurements of two children in quiet and REM sleep.

Method for characterization of filter radiometers

Applied Optics, 1999
We have developed a new method for characterizing the irradiance responsivity of filter radiometers. The method is based on a spatially uniform, known irradiance, generated by combining several identical laser beams. The measurement setup and the experimental demonstration at one wavelength are presented.

An Optimization Method for Cascaded Filters

Bell System Technical Journal, 1970
Summary: This paper presents a procedure for decomposing an \(n\)th order filter into cascadable second order sections. The procedure is optimal in that it minimizes the maximal response range for the sections within the frequency band of interest. The procedure, based on a modified version of the Bottleneck Assignment Algorithm, describes methods of ...

Filtering methods for texture discrimination

Pattern Recognition Letters, 1999
Abstract Filtering methods have recently raised increasing interests in texture analysis due to their simulation of human vision. The goal of this paper is to evaluate the performance of four filtering methods including Fourier transform, spatial filter, Gabor filter and wavelet transform for texture discrimination.

Discrete Programming by the Filter Method

Operations Research, 1967
In this paper (section 1) a two-phase procedure, the filter method or accelerated additive algorithm, is proposed for solving linear programs with zero-one variables. In Phase I an auxiliary problem is constructed that, in Phase II, is used to “filter” the solutions to which the tests of the additive algorithm are to be applied.

An Adaptive Gauss Filtering Method

2008 IEEE Pacific Visualization Symposium, 2008
An adaptive filtering method for volume data is presented in this paper. In this filtering method, the input data set is re-sampled to create a hierarchy of multiple-level data sets. A data classification task is performed at each level of the data pyramid to decide the local structure types.
