On the Transferability of Spectral Graph Filters [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
This paper focuses on spectral filters on graphs, namely filters defined as elementwise multiplication in the frequency domain of a graph. In many graph signal processing settings, it is important to transfer a filter from one graph to another. One example is in graph convolutional neural networks (ConvNets), where the dataset consists of signals ...

Transcriptome‐wide analysis of circRNA and RBP profiles and their molecular relevance for GBM

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CircRNAs are differentially expressed in glioblastoma primary tumors and might serve as therapeutic targets and diagnostic markers. The investigation of circRNA and RNA‐binding proteins (RBPs) interactions shows that distinct RBPs play a role in circRNA biogenesis and function.

Effect of different noise reduction techniques and template matching parameters on markerless tumor tracking using dual‐energy imaging

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 23, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Purpose To evaluate the impact of various noise reduction algorithms and template matching parameters on the accuracy of markerless tumor tracking (MTT) using dual‐energy (DE) imaging. Methods A Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator was used to acquire a series of alternating 60 and 120 kVp images (over a 180° arc) using fast kV switching, on ...

A universal negative group delay filter for the prediction of band-limited signals [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
A filter for universal real-time prediction of band-limited signals is presented. The filter consists of multiple time-delayed feedback terms in order to accomplish anticipatory coupling, which again leads to a negative group delay for frequencies in the baseband.

Targeting the MDM2‐MDM4 interaction interface reveals an otherwise therapeutically active wild‐type p53 in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.

Digital radiography image quality evaluation using various phantoms and software

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 23, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Purpose To investigate the effect of the exposure parameters on image quality (IQ) metrics of phantom images, obtained automatically using software or from visual evaluation. Methods Three commercial phantoms and a homemade phantom constructed according to the instructions given in the IAEA Human Health Series No.

Hanning FIR window filtering analysis for EEG signals

open access: yesBiomedical Analysis
The window function is a mathematical function in signal processing that is multiplied by a signal to lessen or eliminate the impact of undesired characteristics such as spectral leakage and edge effects that might arise while analyzing finite-duration ...

The Use of Kalman Filter in Biomedical Signal Processing

open access: yes, 2009
In this chapter the Kalman Smoother, with or without the EM algorithm, has been used for the processing of the EEG signal in two cases, epileptic form spike identification and ERD/ERD analysis. Use of the Kalman Smoother forces to some simplifications of the model.
