Single-frequency filter for signal processing

Novosti nauki Kazahstana
Modern methods of band-stop filtering are sensitive to the influence of high-frequency single-frequency interference, which significantly distorts the shape of the informative signal. The noted feature is leveled by the system of narrow-band high-Q band-stop filtering developed in the article.

Adaptive filters for multichannel signal processing

1998 IEEE Symposium on Advances in Digital Filtering and Signal Processing. Symposium Proceedings (Cat. No.98EX185), 2002
The amount of research published to date indicates an increasing interest in the areas of multichannel signal processing. The availability of a wide set of multichannel information sources in application areas, such as color image processing, multispectral remote sensing imagery, biomedicine, robotics and industrial inspection have stimulated a renewed

Signal Processing Filters Under Modeling Uncertainties.

1979
Abstract : Matched and Wiener filters are considered for signal processing applications when the a priori information about signal and noise characteristics are not completely specified. The approach is to design filters which are saddle-point or max-min solutions for the criterion functional (mean-squared-error or signal-to-noise ratio) over the ...

Processing arbitrary-length signals with MDFT filter banks

1996 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing Conference Proceedings, 2002
In this paper, methods for processing arbitrary-length input signals with MDFT filter banks are presented. The MDFT filter bank can be regarded as the most general type of a special class of filter banks. These filter banks have linear phase analysis filters, but different centers of symmetry due to subsampling with and without a phase shift.

Audio signal processing with transversal filters

ICASSP '79. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005
A brief introduction to transversal filters is given. Practical aspects of time-domain deconvolution are discussed. Experimental results are included which illustrate transversal-filter phase equalization of bandlimiting filters, analog magnetic recorders, and electroacoustic transducers. A few prospwzective applications are mentioned.

Signal processing by function elimination filters

ICASSP '76. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005
In many applications of signal processing (in areas of communication, pattern recognition, measurement) it is necessary to detect (or classify) the signals in the absence of certain a priori information about its parameters. One of the effective methods of solving such problems - the Function Filtration Method - is discussed.

Adaptive filtering in biological signal processing.

Critical reviews in biomedical engineering, 1990
The high dependence of conventional optimal filtering methods on the a priori knowledge of the signal and noise statistics render them ineffective in dealing with signals whose statistics cannot be predetermined accurately. Adaptive filtering methods offer a better alternative, since the a priori knowledge of statistics is less critical, real time ...
