THE ROMANIAN RESPONSE TO THE FINANCIAL CRISIS [PDF]
The importance of financial linkages among countries in the crisis spread, is currently a highly debated topic. Small shocks caused by the collapse of the financial system of a country can easily turn into a crisis, of dimensions that can be hardly ...

A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

Monetary Policy in Ukraine in 1996-1999 [PDF]
After hyperinflationary developments in 1993 the inflation rate was controlled and decreased to the level of about 10% in 1997 and 20% in 1998. Inflationary consequences of 1998 crisis were lower that one could expect.

Trace additions of Sn and Sr combined with a two‐step aging treatment are shown to enhance the microstructure and performance of Al–Zr–Sc conductor alloys. Strength and electrical conductivity increase concurrently through accelerated precipitation of fine Al3(Sc, Zr) precipitates and improved dislocation resistance, offering a cost‐effective pathway ...

Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

A hierarchical porous copper current collector is fabricated via three‐dimensional printing combined with pressureless sintering to stabilize lithium metal anodes. The interconnected architecture lowers local current density, guides uniform Li deposition within pores, and suppresses dendrite growth.

This edition marks the eighth annual report of the European Economic Advisory Group (EEAG) at CESifo. The past year was a shock to all of us, recalling events of 1929. The development was worse than expected even though in last year’s report we projected a very bleak economic outlook after discussing the subprime crisis in detail.
