Removing Homocoupling Defects in Alkoxy/Alkyl‐PBTTT Enhances Polymer:Fullerene Co‐Crystal Formation and Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
PBTTT‐OR‐R, a C14‐alkoxy/alkyl‐PBTTT polymer derivative, is of substantial interest for optoelectronics due to its specific fullerene intercalation behavior and enhanced charge‐transfer absorption. Comparing this polymer with (S) and without (O) homocoupling defects reveals that PBTTT‐OR‐R(O) forms stable co‐crystals with PC61BM, while PBTTT‐OR‐R(S ...

Trade Effects on the Personal Distribution of Wealth [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper develops a dynamic Heckscher-Ohlin model and studies the interaction between international trade and wealth distribution dynamics. I also study how differences in the cost of financial intermediation among countries may affect the pattern of ...

In Situ Constructed Magnetic Core‐Shell Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework‐on‐Metal–Organic Framework Structure: an Efficient Catalyst for Peroxymonosulfate Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

Analyzing Electronic Excitations and Exciton Binding Energies in Y6 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The Y6 molecule is used for increasing the efficiency of organic solar cells. The exciton binding energy is calculated for ensembles of Y6 molecules that are representative of the typically used films. The calculations show that the excitons typically spread out over many molecules.

Organic Electrochemical Transistor Channel Materials: Copolymerization Versus Physical Mixing of Glycolated and Alkoxylated Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work discusses the use of blended channel materials in OECTs. It explores how mixing glycolated and alkoxylated polymers in various ratios offers a simpler and more efficient route to tuning OECT properties. The performance of the polymer blends is compared to the corresponding copolymers, demonstrating similar OECT characteristics, swelling ...

A framework for regulating microfinance institutions : the experience in Ghana and the Philippines [PDF]

open access: yes
An earlier Policy Research Working Paper (Hennie van Greuning, Joselito Gallardo, and Bikki Randhawa,"A Framework for Regulating Microfinance Institutions,"WPS 2061, February 1999) presented a regulatory framework that identifies thresholds in financial ...

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

The global growth of mutual funds [PDF]

open access: yes
With few exceptions, mainly in Asia, mutual funds grew explosively in most countries around the world during the 1990s. Equity funds predominated in Anglo-American countries while bond funds predominated in most of Continental Europe, and in middle ...
