Comparison Among Modified Continual Reassessment Methods with Different Dose Allocation Methods for Phase I Clinical Trials

open access: yesMathematics
The continual reassessment method (CRM) has been an essential Bayesian finding design in phase I clinical trials. It utilizes all the information in observed data which contributes to its essential operational characteristics.

Design and Modeling of a High‐Displacement, Skin‐Integrated Flexible Electromagnetic Actuator for Haptic Interfaces in Virtual Reality

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A flexible, skin‐integrated electromagnetic actuator is developed for wearable virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR) haptic systems. A tunable design model enables control over displacement and resonance frequency. The system is validated through a custom VR application with a 6 × 4 actuator array, demonstrating real‐time, spatially targeted tactile ...

Generalized Mechanism Model for Ecosystem Hysteresis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A simplified model examines ecosystem transitions into alternative states after disturbances by leveraging positive and negative feedbacks. It identifies critical tipping points and quantifies hysteresis. Tests conducted on lakes, grasslands, and pitcher‐plant leaves align closely with empirical data and enable the prediction of recovery trajectories ...

Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on Annuity Modeling of Plantation Replanting Cost Reserves Based on the Cobb-Douglas Model

open access: yesCauchy: Jurnal Matematika Murni dan Aplikasi
Annuity is a financial concept that involves a series of periodic payments or receipts. In oil palm plantation management, the annuity concept is adapted to model and estimate the reserves required for replanting costs over time.

Brownian motion: a random walk approximation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Brownian motion is one of the most used stochastic models in applications to financial mathematics, communications, engineeering, physics and other areas. Many of the central results in the theory are obtained directly from its definition as a continuous

Intelligent Stain‐Free Histology on Structural Colorimetric Nanocavities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chen and Gan et al. introduce a label‐free imaging platform using inexpensive Nanocavity‐on‐Silicon (NOS) slides. These slides transform subtle tissue variations into vivid structural colors, enabling high‐contrast histological imaging under a regular optical microscope. This stain‐free approach reveals morphological details comparable to traditional H&

Transparent Transfer‐Free Ultrasmall Multilayer Graphene Microelectrodes Enable High Quality Recordings in Brain Slices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A transfer‐free fabrication method enables multilayer graphene microelectrodes as small as 10 µm, eliminating reliability issues of manual graphene transfer. These electrodes record neural activity in brain slices with exceptional signal‐to‐noise ratios (up to 25–40 dB) while maintaining optical transparency for multimodal applications.

Making dynamic modelling effective in economics [PDF]

open access: yes
Mathematics has been extremely effective in physics, but not in economics beyond finance. To establish economics as science we should follow the Galilean method and try to deduce mathematical models of markets from empirical data, as has been done for ...
