Regulatory choices in global financial markets – restoring the role of aggregate utility in the shaping of market supervision [PDF]

open access: yes
In financial market studies, public supervision has rarely been found to have any effects on financial market development. This is true, even though the primary objective of supervisory legislation is the limitation of market failures and externalities ...

Spin‐Split Edge States in Metal‐Supported Graphene Nanoislands Obtained by CVD

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Combining STM measurements and ab‐initio calculations, we show that zig‐zag edges in graphene nanoislands grown on Ni(111) by CVD retrieve their spin‐polarized edge states after intercalation of a few monolayers of Au. ABSTRACT Spin‐split states localized on zigzag edges have been predicted for different free‐standing graphene nanostructures.

Eutectozymes as Soft Hybrid Materials for Advanced Biocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Eutectozymes are sustainable hybrid materials that embed a GOx–HRP cascade within hydrophobic eutectogels featuring a dual supramolecular–covalent network. This architecture preserves native enzyme structure and stability, enables efficient heterogeneous biocatalysis in aqueous media, and positions eutectogels as robust platforms for next‐generation ...

Lessons from the Asian Crisis: A Central Banker's Perspective [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper present a central banker's perspective on the Asian crisis. Central banks have two core missions: the pursuit of monetary policy to achieve broad macroeconomic objectives and the maintenance of financial stability, including the management of ...

Liquid Metal Microrobots for Magnetically Guided Transvascular Navigation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Liquid metal‐based microrobots combine magnetic steering, intrinsic X‐ray visibility and softness, to navigate blood vessels even against flow. Under clinically relevant magnetic fields, liquid metal microrobots roll along vessel walls, cross endothelial barriers, and accumulate in target tissues.

Machine Learning–Assisted Bio‐Interfacial Engineering Resolves Structural–Functional Conflicts in Nanocomposites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A machine learning‐guided bio‐interfacial design strategy resolves the long‐standing strength–toughness–functionality trade‐off in nanocomposites. By efficiently mapping high‐performance regions in the composition–processing space, the approach delivers hierarchically entangled, nanosheet‐pinned architectures that combine mechanical robustness ...

Electric‐Current‐Assisted Nucleation of Zero‐Field Hopfion Rings

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work reports a novel and efficient nucleation protocol for 3D localized topological magnetic solitons‐hopfion rings in chiral magnets using pulsed electric currents. By using Lorentz transmission electron microscopy and topological analysis, we report characteristic features and extraordinary stability of hopfion rings in zero or inverted external
