Increase in trichomonosis in finches
Veterinary Record, 2006SIR, — The Veterinary Laboratories Agency surveillance report for August ( VR , October 14, 2006, vol 159, p 510) refers to the increase in cases of trichomonosis in finches since July, particularly in south-west England. It suggests that this may have been due to the ‘recent summer rainfall’

Ecological speciation in Darwin’s finches: Ghosts of finches future
ScienceThe theory of ecological speciation posits that adaptive divergence among incipient species raises incidental barriers to reproduction, thus catalyzing the emergence of new species. In this study, we conducted an experimental test of this theory in Galápagos finches, a clade in which beaks and mating songs are mechanistically linked.
