A novel signature integrating genome‐wide analysis with clinical factors predicts recurrence in stage II colorectal cancer and enables a new risk stratification to guide postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy. Clinical risk stratification for postoperative recurrence in patients with pathological stage II (pStage II) colorectal cancer (CRC) is essential ...

Interface characteristics of geogrid and gravelly soil by pullout tests
In the field of roadbed engineering, the reinforced gravelly soil filling materials subjected to long-term upper loads are prone to phenomena such as intrusion of fine particles, leading to the deterioration of the mechanical properties at the ...

We propose a class of simple dark energy models which predict a late-time dark radiation component and a distinctive time-dependent equation of state $w(z)$ for redshift $z < 3$.

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Pushing the SUSY Higgs mass towards 125 GeV with a color adjoint
We show that inclusion of a TeV scale chiral superfield transforming in the adjoint representation of the color SU(3) to the MSSM particle content modifies the renormalization group running of some parameters in such a way that a 125 GeV mass of the ...

"DEVELOPMENT OF WOOD GRINDING 5. FINES CONTENT–TO–SHIVES RATIO "
"Data by Riissanen were largely applied to learn more about wood grinding and, particularly, possible effects of the moisture content in spruce wood, varying from 65 to 15%, which in terms of moisture ratio covers a range from 1.9 to 0.2 kg water per kg oven dry wood.

Abstract The impacts of fine content on the microstructure and mechanical behavior of five types of coarse-fine particle mixtures with different fine contents are examined based on laboratory tests. The samples used in these tests all had a void ratio of 0.6.

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...
